Lake City
Rotarian Andrew Webster traveled to Haiti in February
2006 as part of a learn-and-work trip, with the help of
the Lake City Rotary Club.
The trip was
led by Haiti
Outreach, the organization that drills the wells in
Haiti which are funded by the Safe Water Plus project of
Rotary Districts 5950 and 5960.
The
organization also works on schools, has assisted a
micro-bank--which loans exclusively to business
women--in establishing a branch in the rural city of
Pinion, and other endeavors.
Any Rotarian
may participate in trips such as these.
